New Studio Open!

Hey Friends! I wanted to catch everyone up on a couple exciting things!

We recently moved into our brand new studio on April 19th! We renovated a 2000 square foot studio in Jefferson City, TN! WOOT WOOT! For those familiar with the Jefferson City area, it is right across the street from Formal Approach. Formal Approach is a fantastic place to rent or purchase beautiful dresses or tuxedos for any special occasion.

The grand opening was a blast! The ribbon cutting, live music, photo booth, delicious food, and giveaways were so much fun!!! My favorite part of the evening was seeing each of your smiling faces as you came in the door. Nearly 120 friends and family joined us for the grand opening. I am so thankful each one of you came out to support us! If you hadn’t, I would have eaten every one of those Chocolate Éclairs from Yummy Cakes & More. : ) Thanks Gloria and Kristi for sending us some yummy treats! Congrats to Donna Lawson and Steve and Cindy Lemarr who won our two opening giveaways! We heard the Keurig the LeMarr’s won was donated to the Density School of Ministry. How fun!

If you haven’t had the chance to visit us, please stop by anytime during business hours Tuesday and Thursday from 10:00am – 4:00pm. Our sessions are not limited to business hours.

The studio renovation was quite the project. We had a studio extreme makeover lasting four months from January to April. We laid beautiful maple floors, put up drywall, and had new heat and air units installed. We added fresh coats of paint to every square inch of the facility, installed track lighting, put up large decorative mirrors, added trim, and a new bathroom sink. Hung sound panels, installed fancy birch tree decals on the walls, and did I mention we painted everything!!! Whew!

At the start of this renovation, I was pretty overwhelmed thinking about everything that needed to be done in order to get the studio looking fabulous! At the same time the renovation was going on, I was a new mom taking care of my 6 month old sweetheart Gabriel. Needlessly to say, I was a little unsure of stepping into the studio renovation. After making the decision to move forward with the space, my husband Jonathan turned into a Super Hero Contractor! A very cute contractor at that! With Jonathan’s support and the help of nearly 40 friends and family members, we saw the space completely transformed! Over the course of 4 months, we ate 60+ pizzas, drank a ton great coffee, and ate several pounds of yummy chocolate. Of course, we got a lot of work done in the process!

I want thank everyone again who sacrificed so much time and energy. I have posted the thank you video we played at the opening. The studio doors would not be opened without you.

Kylie & Max’s Engagement Session- Knoxville, TN Photographer

I met up with Kylie and Max at the Ijam Nature Center in Knoxville, TN for their engagement session. This was the first time I had ever been to the 80-acre park. It’s a beautiful oasis SO CLOSE to the downtown area! We did a lot of walking, walking, and walking…and laughing too…:-)

I felt so good about myself getting so much exercise though. lol Anyway, back to Kylie & Max! Super cute and adorable couple! NO doubt their wedding photos are gonna be awesome! I love the way Max looks at Kylie! He adores that girl! They are so loving towards each other and just fun people to be around. We had a great time on this shoot! Hope you guys love your previews!

Cute, adorable, and delightful! These are just a few words to describe this sweet little baby girl! I just adore her! I went to her parent’s home 8 days after she was born to capture her cuteness. She did a great job in front of the camera…even while she was sleeping! She only went potty on her Daddy 5 times. It was well worth it to get these shots!

Sarah and Nathaniel! These two love birds are so cute! I had SO MUCH FUN photographing these two around the downtown, Knoxville area. What a wonderful afternoon spent with an amazing couple! I have known Vicky for quite some time now, so I was thrilled when she asked me to photograph their big day! Vicky wanted outdoor shots before the ceremony and we were able to find the perfect location close to the church. We met at Glenmore Mansion in Jefferson City! This place is a beautiful venue! WoW! We spent a couple hours there having fun and getting great shots! CONGRATULATIONS TO THE NEWLYWEDS! Hope you love your photos!

KARM 50TH JUBILEE- Knoxville, TN Photographer

I had the wonderful opportunity to photograph a very special event for Knox Area Rescue Ministries. KARM was celebrating 50 years of ministry in our local community. Amazing… The KARM 50^th Jubilee Finale was held at the Historical Tennessee Theatre. KARM celebrated with live music, a national known comedian, and dramatic presentations. The dramatized piece to music was emotionally moving as KARM volunteers, staff, and clients had each of their personal testimonies flash across the screen as they walked across the stage.

Rachel and Tad’s Wedding / Morristown TN Photographer

Rachel and Tad tied the knot at Panther Creek State Park at the “Heart”. It was a gorgeous fall day for a wedding! Rachel looked absolutely beautiful in her wedding dress! I especially loved her red heels! Their reception was held at the Rose Center in Morristown, TN.

It was so great wandering around the Park getting great shots! I also enjoyed seeing her brother and uncle who are serving in the military in their uniform! GOTTA LOVE OUR MILITARY MEN!

Micah and Jessica’s Wedding Day- Knoxville, Tn Photographer

What a beautiful day! Micah and Jessica’s wedding day finally arrived. It was filled with lots of laughter and crying! The wedding and reception took place in Charleston, TN on Jessica’s families property. I think my favorite highlight from their big day was experiencing the closeness between the two families. Wow! It was really special! Both families are so amazing… Throwing marshmallows at the two newlyweds as they drove off in a golf cart had to be my second highlight GREAT DAY!

I knew that I would LOVE this couple from my first conversation with the bride to be, Jessica. Oh man, I had SO much fun on this shoot! Jessica and Micah are so loving and sweet towards each other…. What I especially loved about this photoshoot is that Micah bought Jessica tulips for a prop! Awwww how sweet! Yep, they are pretty much adorable together…
